Our fun and energetic tour guides are experienced experts on everything that is Chicago. Each tour is customized for the customer. Chicago Electric Boat Company also has an ice machine on site. Seven-pound bags of ice are available for purchase for $3.00. We also have complimentary coolers for you to use on your cruise. If you need anything else, please feel free to ask!

What time should I show up to my reservation?
We recommend arriving 20 minutes before your reservation time to find parking, get checked in, and learn how to operate the Duffy Boat. Prior to departure a Chicago Electric Boat Company representative will orient you on how to operate the boat safely including a basic understanding of rules of the road.
Are there any extra fees for expenses besides the hourly rate?
Yes, there is a 9% Chicago Amusement Tax. We also take a $500 security deposit, which is purely an authorization on your credit card for any damage that is a result of poor operation and care during your rental. Enjoy the boats, but please care for them as if they were your own! A liability waiver must be signed in order to rent an electric boat.

Yes. However, if you choose to hire a USCG licensed captain to operate the boat and the lake conditions are safe enough you may also have the opportunity to cruise around Navy pier and through Monroe Harbor.
