Contributing to Our Community Matters

Our 2021 season gave us a lot to be grateful for, from expanding our company to welcoming new employees. One of the greatest accomplishments this year is being able to give back to our community. For the second year we partnered up with My Block, My Hood, My City (M3), an organization that “provides youth from divested neighborhoods with an awareness of the world and opportunities beyond their neighborhood. They take students on explorations focused on Vocation/Education, Arts Expression, Culinary Experiences, and Recreation.”

Our Philanthropic Manager, Ryan Murphy, set up 6 events this season with professional tour guides Marshall and David, who collaborated with M3 youth (ages 14-18) interested in careers in architecture or the tourism industry on our electric boats. We also set forth a social media campaign to raise money for the organization and raised a total of $425 in donations from our customers. On top of that, Pizza Portofino donated food for the events. We would like to extend a special thank you to our customers that donated, Pizza Portofino for supplying food for the events, tour guides Marshall and Dave for collaborating with the M3 youth, and Nate, Cyn, and Lady from the M3 organization as well as Tony Angier for making it all possible. We hope to continue our partnership with M3 for years to come.
